Flight School Dropouts: Crashing Together, Failing as One

Another Friday, another round of barely controlled chaos in Enshrouded. We’re making some headway—if you squint hard enough and tilt your head just right, it almost looks like progress. This week’s adventures brought us the joy of building two magic boxes at the illustrious SpiderHouse. These boxes, naturally, have yet to do anything particularly magic, but hey, they look impressive. We also cracked the mystery of enhancing our weapons with runes salvaged from other weapons—because who doesn’t love recycling, right?

The wolves, however, remain thoroughly unimpressed by our efforts. Out of our league and traveling in packs, they forced us into a stealth operation that was less ‘Solid Snake’ and more ‘Solid Maybe’. We would have taken a screenshot of us sneaking past the scary wolves—but real heroes don’t sneak, so you’d just think it was photoshopped. Thankfully, we unlocked two fast travel towers, which means we can now flee in style. And yes, the flying… well, let’s just say it’s a work in progress. We’ve discovered that the key to survival is having one brave soul lead the charge—or the plummet—so the rest of us can aim for the same crash site.

Of course, we can’t forget the joy of scrambling all over the landscape, reaching places that most games would deem impossible. Special shoutout to Zaph, whose absence was felt but whose relentless quest for condiments (specifically salt) guided our entire evening. Myles, Dave, and Craig were on a mission—Zaph’s seasoning needs are serious business. (Turn's out we're all going to need salt for the backpack expansion - way more important than sneaky scout armor)

Myles, our beloved party moth, once again lived up to his reputation—attracted to every shiny, deadly object in sight. This time, it was an electric grid, and as you can see, it didn’t end well. Dave and Craig looked on helplessly, knowing that one wrong step would turn this rescue mission into a group funeral.

Of course, no session would be complete without a nod to the Gold Dragon debacle and Craig’s legendary hole-digging exploits. We don’t hold grudges, but we never forget. It’s these little memories that keep our light-hearted chaos firmly intact.

And we discovered Tomatos, giant rats, and that Craig can't follow simple directions... wait we already knew that.

Craig dead -

A photo from our journey up the multi-level tower of tele-porters, traps, jumping puzzles, and locked doors.

And the same structure - but looking up from ground level to take a photo of Myles, as its too hard to get Craig to understand simple directions to meet our selfie requirements

Myles and Dave on a rock in the dark, with only a campfire to keep the howling wolves at bay, and to keep up warm with we rested - waiting for the moon to pass, and for daylight to break.

Myles lying dead in the bug zapper. We were a couple levels out of league, one zap and you're dead.
